1. ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER
The God In America Open Call is void where prohibited by law. The Open Call is open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who, at the time of entry, are at least thirteen (13) years of age (provided however that entrants ages 13–17 must have parental/legal guardian permission to participate in the Open Call).

By participating in The Open Call, each entrant and each winner are hereby deemed to agree to these Official Rules and all eligibility requirements and guidelines of The Open Call. The Open Call is sponsored by the WGBH Educational Foundation, One Guest Street, Boston, MA 02135 (“WGBH”). The Open Call is not open to employees, officers, directors, trustees, and members of their respective immediate families or households, of WGBH. By entering, each entrant acknowledges compliance with these Official Rules. Each entrant must meet all eligibility requirements and guidelines for the Open Call.

2. HOW TO ENTER:
Entries will be accepted beginning 12:01a.m. (EST) September 1st, 2010 and ending at 11:59 p.m. (EST) on October 31, 2010 (the “Entry Period”).
You may enter the Open Call by submitting your video online at http://www.thewgbhlab.org/gia-registration to The God In America Open Call. To be eligible for participation in the Open Call, each entrant: (i) must provide all requested information on the submission form, and (ii) meet all Eligibility and Guidelines for the Open Call.

Limit one entry per person, regardless of day of entry. Entries received before the date WGBH begins accepting submissions, entries that are not completely filled out or with incorrect answers to questions on the registration form and/or those entries that do not meet the guidelines are not eligible. WGBH reserves the right to use any information submitted by entrants for any purpose whatsoever. Entries received outside the Entry Period and incomplete or inaccurate entries are void.

3. VIDEO ENTRIES:
By entering, each entrant grants WGBH (including, The WGBH Lab, American Experience, and Frontline), PBS, and/or their respective assigns and distribution partners, the right to use his/her video entry, in whole or in part, with no compensation due to the entrant, in perpetuity, in all manner or media, whether now known or hereafter developed including, without limitation, television, radio, cassettes and DVDs (and their packaging), and the Internet.

4. SELECTION OF WINNER/JUDGING:
Winners will be determined by a judging panel that includes, but not be limited to, The WGBH Lab Staff.

**Entries will be judged on comment interaction on the site, originality, creative expression, storytelling and integration of their sacred spaces.

The Winners of the Open Call will be notified by phone and/or e-mail within ten (10) business days from the close of the Entry Period.

Each Winner will have five (5) calendar days of such Winner’s notification to accept or decline the Prize. If any Winner is unreachable after five (5) calendar days, or if any Winner is unavailable for Prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected by the judging panel. Each Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity Release Form within fourteen (14) calendar days after Prize notification. Failure to return either form in the time noted will constitute forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate winner will be selected by the judging panel.

5. PRIZE:
This Open Call will have three (3) winners (each a “Winner”). Each Winner will receive the following prize: one (1) DVD of the God In America program (the “Prize”). Approximate retail value of the Prize is $34.99 and resale is strictly prohibited.

Prize Terms and Conditions: The Prize may not be exchanged for a different prize or redeemed for cash.
WGBH reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at their sole discretion in the event of unavailability. Limit: One (1) prize per person. The Prize is not transferable to another person, and may not be exchanged for a different prize or redeemed for cash or any other consideration. WGBH makes no, and disclaims, all warranties, guarantees or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, merchantability, of any Prize.

Any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees and surcharges on prizes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided by WGBH are the sole responsibility of the Winner(s). WGBH will report any individual winnings over $600 (in cash or fair market value of goods or services) in a one year period to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner(s) will receive a 1099 form from WGBH if WGBH reports any winnings to the Internal Revenue Service.

All Winners agree to the use of his/her/their name(s) and likeness(es) in publicity without notice or any additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

6. ODDS OF WINNING:
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries.

7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES / RELEASE LIMITATION ON LIABILITY:
WGBH is not responsible for any bodily or personal injury, or property damage, or any other loss resulting from use or attempted use of any component of the Prize. Each Winner agrees to sign a more detailed Release of Liability and Publicity Release.

WGBH is not responsible for entries that are incomplete, illegible, lost, delayed, mutilated or misdirected. WGBH is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions, human error, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of entrants on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof including, without limitation, losses, damages or injuries to entrant’s or any other person's equipment or other property, or to their persons, related to participation in the Open Call. In addition, WGBH will not be in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, in connection with the Open Call and/or the Prize(s). Although WGBH attempts to ensure the integrity of the Open Call, WGBH is not responsible for the actions of entrants in connection with the Open Call, including entrant' attempts to circumvent these Official Open Call Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Open Call. The releases hereunder are intended to apply to all claims not known or suspected to exist.

BY ENTERING THE OPEN CALL, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE OPEN CALL, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (2) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND EACH ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (3) EACH ENTRANT'S REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND EACH ENTRANT IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF.

In the event WGBH is prevented from continuing with the Open Call by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications or equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal state or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within the WGBH's control (each a "Force Majeure" event or occurrence), WGBH shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Open Call.

8. GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION:
All disputes arising hereunder or in relation to this Open Call, or the award and/or use of any Prize, shall be brought solely and exclusively in Boston, Massachusetts.

9. WINNERS LIST:
For the names of the Winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope before December 31st, 2010 to: WGBH Lab Open Call Winners' Names, c/o Christopher Hastings, WGBH Educational Foundation, One Guest Street, Boston MA 02135. DO NOT SEND ANY OTHER CORRESPONDENCE TO THIS ADDRESS. The name of the Winners will be available on or about November 1st, 2010.
