I inherited a pair of beautiful, handblown vases from my mother. This pair of vases were a wedding gift to my great grandparents from their employer, a cotton broker in New Orleans, Mr. Fairchild. My great grandfather, Robert Perre, was a Captain on the Fairchild's yacht, The Sweetheart, around the year 1909. I have a letter regarding his employment date. Later, he owned a successful bakery in Bay St. Louis, MS. Unfortunately, he died at the young age of 36 in the 1917 flu epidemic.
A few years ago an identical pair of vases in a decorating magazine appraisal column were identified as Tiffany. So naturally I am curious.
In addition, in the video is a handmade wooden sewing box made by my great-great grandfather, Charles Sanger, a prominent citizen of Bay St. Louis, for his wife. It was probably made around 1880.
Also, I inherited a small "chalk" dog figurine that I would like to know more about. I believe it also belonged to Charles Sanger.
I will be thrilled to be chosen to be on "The Roadshow". I feel I would be an interesting participant, as I grew up in a home that was in my family for 6 generations. They kept everything! HELP!
This is a repeat submission by the request of Stacy Buchanan. She informed me that I had not completed my original form completly.
