Painted Indian Pillow

This Indian pillow belonged to my grandfather since the early 1900's. He was a hunting/fishing guide in the Rangely Lakes Region of the State of Maine.

In the 1920's my mother thought the indian looked mean and so when no one was looking, she would punch him in the face and turn the pillow around! She was the youngest of six kids and for the longest time, no one could figure out who kept turning the pillow around!!
