Since I am so fascinated with firefighters and what they must endure on the job, I filmed a video about how Boston Fire Department trains new recruits. I had a wonderful opportunity to participate and film a "Repelling" demonstration, at Moon Island, the Boston Fire Fighters Training Academy. At this facility, new recruits endure physical and academic training for about 10 weeks.

The Captain Scigliano, Drill Master Boston Fire Training Academy, asked me if I wanted to participate in a Repelling demonstration, which I gladly replied yes! I was suited up, and hoisted on to the same line, where a fire fighter came down by repelling off the building. As I was rescued, from a window of a 5-story building, the fire fighter sat on my lap and placed my arms around him. This facility is used for fire training, it is six stories. As we were repelling from each floor of the building, I could see the long distance we had to travel! It was pretty high!!

I have never done anything like this before in my life! It was quite an exhilarating and adventurous. I would definitely do it again! This video has never aired on any cable or major television station, nor has it been posted any website! You will be the first to see it!
